Kill virus by yourself, i.e. no antivirus software needed

This is the instruction through my own experience about to kill virus by manual. If you remind of the word ‘virus’ referring to both in real nature and on computer—e-virus by my word, you will think over the word ‘damage’ or ‘disturbance’. It’s true. Apparently, computer virus is an application (mostly whose extension is .exe) like Ms Word for example that damages some specific sections or components of computer or output of other applications. You may doubt about how to identify if there is virus on your computer. However, I don’t mention about that since there are different ways. I am focusing on how to kill virus manually. Below are the simple five steps.

First, I need to identify the virus. What’s its name? What’s its size? For that, I use USB Flash Memory to be plugged onto a computer. If existing, mostly virus will be automatically spread itself to the USB Flash Memory, thereby seeking the requirement above by right click on it -->properties -->see the size and -->versions -->see the original file name. (You can note some more, but I think it’s enough.)

Second, run your computer in Safe Mod (I am referring to Windows only but Linux or Macintosh). For that, login as administration privilege or limited account is optional. Next, in Folder Options I must check ‘Show hidden files and folders’, uncheck ‘Hide extensions for known file types’, and uncheck ‘Hide protected operating system files (recommended)’.

Folder Options modification

Third, search all files and folders by size in My Computer. For instance, if the virus is 392 KB in size, I search the specific size at most 401 KB. Additionally, I need to check all the options in ‘More advanced options’.

Fourth, after the result is displayed, I view it as ‘Details’ and arrange icons by ‘Size’.

Finally, delete all the files whose size and original file name are matched with the identity above and then empty recycle bin, or on keyboard type (Shift + Delete).

Good job! Now I can run my computer in normal mode without the virus anymore.

Calendar.exe is a virus that I used to get rid of. I encountered it when I lend my USB Flash Memory to my friend. Hmm…careless! I accidentally double click one folder. But in real it is not a folder but virus. Huh I blamed myself why I didn’t take a glance at its extension…!!! After I rerun my computer in normal mode as routine, my desktop background is replaced already with the one below.

Wallpaper of virus calendar.exe

Immediately, the noisy sounds appeared. It’s from the machine. How disturbed I was! In addition, I couldn’t search, run from start menu, explorer in C:\Windows\, access control panel, and so on and so forth.

Well, if you want to enjoy or experience such a manual kill, I will dispatch this virus to your email. I guess you may sweat!
